Article: The Best Regime for Combination Skin

Restore balance to your skin with our expert guide to the best skincare routine for combination skin.

The Best Regime for Combination Skin

Combination skin type is neither dry nor oily; but a combination of the two. It is distinguished by oily skin on the nose, chin, and forehead (T-zone), as well as dry and flaky skin around the cheeks, jaw, and hairline. However, using 2 separate routines might be difficult, so you must find a proper solution. How do you go about doing that? By developing a skincare routine specific to combination skin, you can provide your skin with the schedule.

AM SKINCARE ROUTINE

It is necessary to have a personal care products list for the morning skincare routine as it benefits your skin for the entire day and protects you from external factors that could be harmful to your skin.

  • Cleanse

It is extremely important to use a non comedogenic, non drying cleanser to remove dirt and oil from your face. Remember to begin and end each day with a clear face.

  • Serum

Serums hydrate and protect your skin. It’s best to choose a serum with hyaluronic acid. Your serum can also contain active ingredients like Vitamin C which help with skin glow.

  • Moisturize

Forgetting to moisturize is the same as going out without a mask. Yes, moisturization is crucial for your skin. Look for a lightweight, oil-free solution and gently apply it to a cleansed face.

  • Sunscreen

Never go outside without applying sunscreen. The intense UV rays can have a negative impact on your skin, causing everything from early indications of aging to pigmentation and black patches. For the oilier areas of your face, choose an oil-free sunscreen. Don't forget the corners of your eyes, upper hairline, top of your ears, and lower eyelids.

  • Make up

It is best to use minimal makeup to avoid blocked pores. In case applying makeup is unavoidable, always choose non comedogenic, oil-free products for your skin.

    PM SKINCARE ROUTINE

So that's it for the morning skincare routine. Now let's look at some of the things you should be doing at night to repair and rejuvenate your skin.

    • Make up remover

Since you've been wearing makeup all day, it's best to start by removing it with face oils or a light makeup remover. This should be the first step in your night skin care routine. Following that, use a cleanser to completely cleanse your face, removing any dirt or impurities.

      • Cleanser

Don't forget to use your cleanser at the end of the day. Even if you don't wear makeup, your skin will have been exposed to a range of pollutants, oils, and particles at the end of the day. A cleanser should be able to remove all  makeup remnants and natural skin buildup.

        • Under-eye cream

Because your under eyes are the most delicate area of your body, they are more likely than any other portion of your body to show signs of premature aging. Eye care cream is typically intended to be lighter and thinner. Before applying your face cream, make sure you've used an under-eye gel.

          • Serum/ Moisturizer

Night time is perfect to add certain stronger ingredients like retinol to your skin regime. Alternating between a serum and moisturizer containing retinol can give wonderful results.

When it comes to combination skin, finding the perfect skincare routine can be difficult at first. However, using suitable products in specific concern areas can be a good starting point. Do not forget to consult a dermatologist when you are going to start your regime for the first time!
